From Alexandria To Cairo One Night Stopover

Itinerary:

Day 1:

Pyramids/Egyptian Museum 

You will be greeted by your Golden Pyramid Travel Tour Guide, holding a sign with your name on they will be at your Cruise Ships exit door at Alexandria Port. Transportation to Cairo will take around 3 hours by an air-conditioned vehicle. If you need a rest during the trip there will be one stop along the way 

You will begin your Day Tour with a visit to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. You can then explore the area of the Great Sphinx; which includes the statue of the Sphinx, (the largest statue in the World which put awe and fear in the hearts of visitors in ancient times until today) and the Valley Temple, (soak up the ambience by strolling through the ancient hall and corridors), both of these belong to the King Chephren Pyramid Complex 

You will continue on your Tour to the Egyptian Museum; which houses the largest collection of Egyptian Artefacts from different Ancient ages through the Pharaonic period. The Museums collection of over 120,000 Egyptian Artefacts is considered to be the most precious collection in the World. Like the collection from the young Pharaoh Tutankhamen which contains his famous Golden Mask, Jewelry, Sarcophagus and many other items. You can also enter the Mummy room (extra ticket) which houses 11 mummified Pharaoh 

You will have your lunch at a local Restaurant during your Day Tour. Your Guide will give you the option of experiencing a beautiful Dinner aboard a Nile Cruise for two hours or to attend the stunning Sound & Light Show at the Giza Pyramids area. At the conclusion of your Tour you will be accompanied to your Hotel 

Second Day:

Alexandria Tour

After your breakfast at the hotel, you will then travel with your Private Guide by air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria where you will visit the Catacomb which was given that name because it’s planning is similar to the Christian Catacomb in Rome, and dates back between the 1st & 4th  A.D centuries , the Catacomb is interesting combination of Ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman art

You will enjoy your lunch at a local Restaurant during your Tour and continue on to the Qaitbay citadel which was established by Sultan Al-Ashraf Saif El-Din Qaitbay at the far west side of Alexandria at the end of Pharos Island on the exact site of the famous Ptolemaic Light house of Alexandria, this was a very important defensive stronghold along the Mediterranean coast

You will next visit the Alexandria Library from inside. At the conclusion of your Tour you will be accompanied back to your Cruise Ship for departure
